Chose Drupal Commerce version 7. Created a responsive designed theme. Utilized feeds to load spreadsheet data into site once the database field structure was completed. As part of the structure, we used taxonomies to define the different categories displayed in the catalog. Client chose to use Paypal for it's payment gateway which Drupal already had a module to configure the Paypal API.
